These terms set the rules for using 852 and explain its weather, air-quality, and emergency limitations.

Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using 852, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use 852.
Apple App Store terms
If you download the 852 iOS app through the Apple App Store, your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, known as the Apple Standard EULA.
If these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA conflict about the iOS app, the Apple Standard EULA controls only to the extent required for the iOS app.
The Service
852 provides weather forecasts, official weather warnings, air-quality information, and related neighborhood views for Hong Kong. 852 may change the information, features, or availability of the service over time.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use 852. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use 852 only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
License
Subject to these Terms, Just Because Labs LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use 852 for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Just Because Labs LLC and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted to you.
Acceptable use
- Do not use 852 in violation of law or the rights of another person.
- Do not interfere with the operation, security, or availability of 852.
- Do not access or attempt to access systems, data, or credentials that are not yours.
- Do not scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass technical limits except where the law permits it.
- Do not use 852 to create a false impression that you speak for Just Because Labs LLC, the Hong Kong Observatory, or the Environmental Protection Department.
Third-party services and data
852 displays or relies on information from the Hong Kong Observatory, the Environmental Protection Department, and other third-party services. Those services have their own terms, policies, availability, and data practices. 852 does not control them and is not responsible for their content, availability, or acts.
Feedback
If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow Just Because Labs LLC to use them without restriction or compensation. This permission does not transfer ownership of your independent materials.
Changes, suspension, and termination
You may stop using 852 at any time. Just Because Labs LLC may change, suspend, or end 852 or your access to it when needed for operation, security, legal compliance, or a material breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including provisions about ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law, and interpretation.
Weather and emergency information
852 is not the Hong Kong Observatory, the Environmental Protection Department, an emergency service, or a substitute for official warnings. Weather and air-quality information can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Do not rely on 852 alone when safety matters. Check official sources and follow emergency instructions.
Service disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 852 is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Just Because Labs LLC does not promise that 852 will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, complete, timely, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Just Because Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to 852 or these Terms. Just Because Labs LLC's total liability for all claims related to 852 will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amounts you paid for 852 in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms preserve mandatory rights under applicable United States federal or state law and other non-waivable consumer rights.
Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This provision does not remove mandatory rights or protections that apply to you under the law of another jurisdiction.
Severability
If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect. The court should modify the unenforceable part only as much as needed to make it enforceable, if the law allows.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Apple Standard EULA where it applies, are the entire agreement between you and Just Because Labs LLC about 852 and replace earlier agreements about 852. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Changes to these terms
Just Because Labs LLC may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page and changing the Last updated date. If a change is material, Just Because Labs LLC will provide notice where the law requires it. Continued use of 852 after an update means the updated Terms apply to future use, to the extent permitted by law.
